Just announced for this years’ festival is author Philip Pullman, best known for the ‘His Dark Materials’ trilogy. He will be in conversation with Hay Festival Director Peter Florence about his new novel ‘The Good Man Jesus and The Scoundrel Christ’ on Saturday 5 June at 7pm in the Barclays Wealth Pavilion. Don’t expect a pro-Christian polemic.

As a ex-nun and author of ‘Dropping The Habit’ I’m keen to know more. I’ve not managed to make to the Hay Festival yet! Sounds interesting especially the mention of Jesus Christ!
