Making Hay started as an experiment in 2009.  Five years on there are nearly 20,000 followers on Twitter and I’m not the only blogger. Lyndsey, Jill and Pete have all become part of the fabric and all being well, will be again this year.  It would be impossible without them.

Making Hay is an unofficial fan blog but the organisers have always been supportive.  It’s an entirely amateur affair done on a shoestring.   Some people will see ads on the site which is part of the experiment (so far WordAds has earned $10.42 which is less than the annual web hosting costs!)

There are very few set rules so I’d welcome approaches from anyone involved in the wonderful world of  Hay. We’ve had a guest post from an author (but only one).  We’d welcome authors publishers and other bloggers if you’d like to get involved.  Send us an @post to @MakingHay (not a DM) or email makinghay@rocketmail.com.

The site now gets substantial traffic over the two weeks at the end of May start of June so here we are again.  Let the fun begin.
